Dear David and Mark,

Countrystride is an amazing gift to many. I have been transported back to the Lakes time and again, and am deeply grateful to you both for the amount of time and effort you have given. Hopefully at some point you will lace up the boots and grab the recording kit together again-it’s a wonderful thing you do.

Thank you again, Hugh.

Thanks for all the work you have put into creating the Countrystride podcasts. They kept me going during COVID when I would listen while walking to the hospital to work. They have always be great. Hopefully they will stay available so we can chip in as needed - when we can’t get to the lakes. Thanks again. John.

Countrystride has been a wonderful gift for those of us that now only visit perhaps once a year! It has transported my husband and I back to many of our favourite hikes/strolls and discoveries over the past fifty years. Thank you both for your wonderful podcast and all the hours you have devoted to it. And a special thank you to all the 'guests' that have made this podcast so enlightening and such a joy to listen to. You will be missed! Thank you once again. Chris

Sad to hear you are stopping but what a body of work! Every one a gem, and a joy to those of us who love this area. I learnt so much. I would echo everyone’s plea that the podcasts remain available to listen to again and again!

David & Mark, I feel I had to drop you a short thank you message after seeing Mark on TV last night on Wainwright Walks with Julia Bradbury. It’s been an absolute pleasure listening to the pair of you, some great insights and so many interesting articles produced, I hope that you will return and thank you so much for so many happy times.

Thank you so much Mark and Dave for your wonderful podcasts.

I am worryingly obsessed with all things Lake District, so listening to each episode has created a lovely regular ‘connection’ to this beautiful area in between my visits.

All your guests were superb and I have learnt so much…

I’ve loved being at CS Live and your books so thank you for ALL your hard work.

Best of luck with all your future projects and I will keep a look out for hopefully more episodes to come…

All the best to you both.

Rewind…and back to episode one..!

I discovered the podcast during the covid lockdown (when I bought the Terry Abraham book) and listening to the episodes, including the back catalogue, helped to keep me sane. I’ve continued listening to the casts and have enjoyed them all, and found many educational too. So thanks for all your efforts 👏👏👏

I've only recently discovered your podcast and I'm so sorry to hear this is potentially the last one. Thank you so much - I've loved the ones I've listened to and can't wait to get back to the Lakes.

Love the podcast, it's the only one I listen to. You guys have done some brilliant work bringing the history of all these places to life in a entertaining and informative way. I hope you know how much your work is appreciated and it will stand the test of time.
